Configuration Manager (Hybrid)
Key Responsibilities
- Defining and documenting the configuration items (CIs) within the IT environment, including hardware, software, and network components.
- Coordinating changes to configuration items to ensure that only authorized modifications are implemented.
- Conducting audits and verifications to ensure that the configuration items are correctly implemented and maintained.
- Coordinating changes to the IT environment to minimize disruption and ensure that changes are properly tested and documented.
- Supporting the government with change and release management of new or updated software and hardware components, ensuring proper testing and deployment.
- Maintaining detailed documentation of configuration items and providing regular reports on the status and performance of the IT environment.
- Automatically provisioning and de-provisioning virtual machines, storage, and network components based on demand, while leading the development of infrastructure-as-code solutions.
- Streamlining application and update deployments using automation tools to ensure timely and issue-free rollouts.
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
· Experience: Minimum of 5 years of IT configuration/asset management experience, with at least 2 years in a federal or regulated IT environment.
Technical Skills:
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow CMDB or similar ITSM platforms.
- Knowledge of ITIL v3/v4 Configuration and Change Management processes.
- Familiarity with federal IT standards and property accountability requirements (e.g., FAR 52.245-1).
- ITIL v3/v4 Foundation
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS-CMDB)
- Certified Configuration Manager (CMPIC or equivalent)
- Must pass background investigation.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
